Hi, I’m Sophie West.
WesternWish Productions was founded by Sophie West, a Denver-based singer-songwriter with a deep belief in the power of original music and the people who create it.
After years of traveling and performing, Sophie noticed a striking pattern when she returned to Denver: the city is overflowing with talented musicians and a thriving open mic culture, yet there are very few accessible ways for the general public to experience original local music outside of bar and restaurant gigs. The same artists often compete for a small pool of low-paying shows, while meaningful exposure to new audiences remains rare.
While open mics offer musicians a place to support one another, Sophie saw a gap: music lovers lacked a clear, intentional way to discover and support original artists. Inspired by songwriter rounds she experienced in Nashville, she set out to create something different.
WesternWish Productions began with a mission to build platforms that put original music front and center, starting with a monthly singer-songwriter round that values both the artist and the audience. The goal is simple: pay artists fairly, promote their work thoughtfully, and create welcoming spaces where new music can actually be heard.
As traditional labels increasingly step back from developing new artists, WesternWish exists to help fill that gap — by fostering community, amplifying original voices, and bringing fresh music to the forefront. More events are on the way.
