SOPHIE WEST
Your host and the founder of WesternWish, Sophie West has been named a finalist for Favorite Female Vocalist in the Colorado Blues Society's 2026 Member's Choice Awards and a quarterfinalist in the 2026 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Sophie brings her soulful sound to the stage through multiple projects.
Since re-establishing herself in the Colorado music scene in 2024, Sophie has released her debut solo EP (Long Time Coming) and founded two bands, the blues/funk-driven outfit The Sophie West Band and the jam band West of Fennario. More about Sophie can be found here.
MEGHAN CLARISSE
Meghan Clarisse is a Colorado-based Americana and country singer-songwriter known for heartfelt storytelling and mountain-west roots. Her music has received local radio airplay across Colorado, and she has released multiple original projects including the collaborative EP Kindred Spirits. Performing solo, with her band Meghan & Her Cavemen, and as part of an award-winning duo—named Duo of the Year—she regularly headlines festivals and community events. Offstage, Meghan is an active music-community leader, volunteering with Musicians On Call and building connection through collaboration and song. More about Meghan can be found here.
CAROLYN SHULMAN
Carolyn Shulman is a Denver-based folk & Americana singer-songwriter whose sound is a nod to the women of Americana who came before her, such as Shawn Colvin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Patty Griffin. She builds powerful emotional landscapes, layering poignant lyrics atop skillful guitar work. Her debut album Grenadine & Kerosene (2021) and her latest release Heart on a Wire (2024) both enjoyed critical acclaim and landed on the FAI Folk Radio Charts. Carolyn was a 2022 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriters Showcase finalist. She loves performing and quickly charms audiences with her sincerity, humor, and warmth. MEGHANN5K
Meghann5k is best known as the front woman for Denver-based alterna-rock band, Addie Tonic. She grew up in the vibrant music scene of Athens, GA, learning guitar at age 13, and writing her own songs at age 18. In 2016, she moved to Denver and soon after met Matt Youngblood (songwriting partner/co-founder of Addie Tonic) combining forces to create their signature sound. Addie Tonic’s catchy songs are driven by Meghann5k’s pop-fueled lyrics and Matt’s rock-inspired guitar licks, building garage rock/shoegaze like walls of sound with a punk rock edge. Addie Tonic received a nomination by 105.5 The Colorado Sound Music Awards as a finalist in the “On the Rise” category and Meghann’s song “Brutal” charted in the top 5 on 105.5 The Colorado Sound for 5 months. Addie Tonic is currently working on their first full-length album with Producer Todd Divel of Silo Sound Recording Studio. More about Meghann can be found here.
